Fallow deer common coat colour is brown with white spots on the back and a black tip at the end of the tail. Winter colour is darker.

It can be considered as one of the most beautiful animals to hunt during the rut, affectionately known in Spain as “La ronca” (the snore), and taking place throughout the months of September and October.
